Our Philosophy...
Bob and Kim Dickman believe great coaching starts by understanding the individual, not forcing players into a one-size-fits-all swing. Our philosophy is built on challenging the status quo and helping each golfer develop a swing that works with their natural movement patterns to create measurable, lasting improvement.
Bob is a longtime Level 3 Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Golf Professional with over 40 years of coaching experience. Kim is a Level 1 TPI Golf Professional who has been trained in the same proven process. Together, we blend experience, technology, and a hands-on coaching approach to quickly identify what is helping—or limiting—a player’s performance.
What sets us apart is our ability to cut to the chase. Rather than chasing symptoms, we identify the root cause of swing issues and introduce changes through simple, effective feels that create new motor patterns. Students typically know very quickly whether the changes are helping—and most see immediate improvement. Lessons go beyond mechanics, using proven motor-learning principles to help changes transfer from the lesson tee to the golf course through guided practice, pressure-based training, and realistic playing simulations.
Fifteen years ago, Robert Dickman Golf introduced the concept of coaching golf—distinct from simply teaching golf. We have worked to combine both approaches, using the four key steps of Motor Learning to ensure what is learned in a lesson shows up on the course:
- Cause & Effect
- Guided Practice
- Training to Play
- Playing
When lessons progress through all four steps, the transfer from practice to the course dramatically increases. This is why Bob and Kim simulate real golf situations during lessons and why students consistently perform better when it matters most.
Your first lesson begins with a detailed physical screen to assess how your body moves and how it relates to your golf swing. From there, your swing is evaluated using video, 3D analysis, and advanced technology such as TrackMan and SportsBox AI. This allows Bob and Kim to clearly see what the ball, club, and body are doing—and why.
Our goal is simple: help you hit shots on the course the same way you hit them on the range—and to build improvement that lasts for generations.
We look forward to Robert Dickman Golf coaching this great game to your children’s children. Seriously, we work with a family right now where we teach/coach the fourth generation! Our goal is to see all our students hit the ball on the course like we see them hit it on the range, and it is completely doable with the right environment.
"Because casual training is the enemy of good golf and proper training breeds peak performance."
