Prep Development

Developing into an elite golfer is an exciting challenge for aspiring young athletes and their families. In order to succeed it takes it takes a great deal of age sensitive training, commitment, support, and character. Bob Dickman’s 35 years of experience training top athletes are invaluable in developing top performing athletes as well as developing character qualities that will help a player become successful in life.

CHESTERTON, Ind. (July 27, 2018) – Sometimes it’s good to have a number in mind, and sometimes it’s better not to. Alec Dutkowski can speak to both after a day in which he clawed into contention at the Northern Amateur, then outlasted two other players in a three-hole playoff.

Robert Dickman Golf Select High School Program

Robert Dickman Golf's High School Program is the most carefully designed program for successful High School golf. The below programs below were designed for athletes' whose schedule will prevent them from participating in our group program or who have progressed to a highly competitive tournament schedule that has "graduated them" from our high school group program.  The following programs are entirely individual programs that assume a player is getting his/her group competition elsewhere.  Players invited to join one of the programs below should do so in consultation with Bob in order to match level of commitment, budget and goals to the appropriate program.

Effective Partnership With Parents

Without question, every parent who looks to enroll their child in a program such as this desires the absolute best for them.  The single most influential factor in the child’s development is the role the parent plays in nurturing a love for their child and love for the sport. Contrary to this, the most common reason why kids quit sports is “the ride home”.  Well intended comments at the wrong time in the wrong way may destroy everything your child and I work have worked on.  This can occur during training sessions, a tournament, or a playing round. With this in mind the following recommendations for parents are:

  • Allow your child to have fun playing golf, it is a long journey
  • No communication during lessons or while playing in tournaments
  • Reinforcement of knowledge being learned
  • Communicate with child using the “sandwich method” of praise constructive comment, praise
LETS GET STARTED!
